Compass Math study module
What it measures
This support module shows whether you can keep basic calculation accuracy and numerical rhythm stable under time pressure.
Common mistake
The most common mistake is skipping steps for speed and creating avoidable errors.
Training note
It works especially well as a short warm-up before Compass or as a recovery module on weaker days.
What this module reveals

Why recruiters care about it

This support module shows whether you can keep basic calculation accuracy and numerical rhythm stable under time pressure.

It is not presented as an official Compass task; the goal is to strengthen clean thinking speed under numerical load.

This is a support module; instead of copying an official Compass task, it helps you build numerical control under similar pressure.
How to play

Step-by-step simulation flow

1

Train with the question bank

The math leg of Compass preparation runs through the live question bank in the Physics/Math study module: filter by topic — algebra, geometry, arithmetic, ratio, word problems — and build a review loop with the "only unseen" and "answered incorrectly" filters. For Compass candidates the questions are studied in English.

2

Solve, then read the explanation

Questions come one at a time, multiple-choice. Locking an answer marks the correct option green and a wrong pick red, and a step-by-step English explanation appears in the side panel. The question map lets you jump anywhere.

Measure in exam mode

In exam mode feedback is off: you answer question after question under the clock and see the result at the end. Working without a calculator, on paper, is the closest rehearsal for real selection settings.

Difficulty

How difficulty scales

You steer the difficulty: topic filters focus your weak areas, and the "answered incorrectly" loop repeats a mistake until it becomes routine. Exam mode adds the clock to mimic real conditions.

What separates candidates is not harder math but clean calculation under speed — zero careless slips on easy questions and the discipline to skip a hard one early and come back.

How to train it

CadetPrep training approach

Train without a calculator; mental-arithmetic speed transfers directly into the other Compass modules too.
Clear easy questions cleanly and come back to hard ones — one stubborn question eats the time of five easy ones.
Read the explanations even when you were right; the faster solution paths live there.
Study in English for Compass — not translating questions in the exam is an advantage on its own.
