How to play

1. Visual task: compare the needle with the digital display

The needle steps one tick every second and its direction changes unpredictably. The rule is simple: the digital display must always show the needle value × 10 (needle on 7 → display 070).

Every so often the digital display shows a wrong value — usually it lags one step behind (the needle moves to 21 while the display stays on 200), sometimes it is off by ±10. The moment you spot a mismatch you press the EYE button; the display refreshes about one second later, so the reaction window is tight.

2. Auditory task: catch the same tone three times

In the background one of three tones plays every 2 seconds: high, medium or low. When the same tone plays 3 times in a row you press the EAR button — and you must press before the next tone starts.

The two channels run independently: while watching the gauge you must keep counting the tones. That is exactly what makes this module hard.

3. Scoring

Your score is the ratio of caught targets (visual + auditory) to total targets plus false presses. Every unnecessary press hurts the score just like every miss; not pressing until you are sure matters as much as speed.

In the real exam the module runs as three back-to-back sections with no break. The practice section is not scored.
