1. Memorize the instructions
When the question starts, the instructions appear one by one on the screen; each one is visible briefly, disappears, and is followed by the next. The instructions do not remain on the screen as a list, so you must keep the sequence in memory. There are three instruction types:
- GO AHEAD: the arrow moves 1 square forward in the direction it is facing.
- TURN LEFT / TURN RIGHT AND GO AHEAD: the arrow first turns 90° left or right, then moves 1 square forward.
- TURN BACK AND GO AHEAD: the arrow turns 180° around itself, then moves 1 square forward.
Consecutive "GO AHEAD" instructions stack up, so two "GO AHEAD" steps mean 2 squares forward. The turns are relative to the arrow’s current facing direction, not to absolute north or south.
